NEW YORK
Dubbed the largest Memorial Day parade in the nation,
the Little Neck Douglaston Memorial Day Parade in Queens attracted
tens of thousands participants and spectators at the 1999 event.
The tradition goes back to 1930.
Ginger, Little Bear and I departed for Montana
shortly after the Memorial Day Parade in Queens.
The parade includes the best of both worlds.
A grand array of marching musical talent and
a "small-town" venue on Long Island.
