Here is another way I found to paint AMERICA.
Sharing the walk with young people,
this time at the Lavina Public School.
Andy Horujko, the Real Walker, gave me the idea when I told him
"I want to find ways to share the trip when I get back to Montana."
I took Fannie the Flag and a 20 foot outline map of the USA
around the territory to share the walk and teach a little geography.
Students got to "walk the map" and put states in their proper places.
Red Lodge students got to create their own versions of the American flag.
Fannie and I also took the program to
Huntley Project, Grey Cliff, Ryegate, Yellowstone Park, and Billings.
