Painting AMERICA

Lavina Students

Here is another way I found to paint AMERICA.

Sharing the walk with young people,
this time at the Lavina Public School.

Andy Horujko, the Real Walker, gave me the idea when I told him
“I want to find ways to share the trip when I get back to Montana.”

I took Fannie the Flag and a 20 foot outline map of the USA
around the territory to share the walk and teach a little geography.

Students got to “walk the map” and put states in their proper places.

Red Lodge Students

Red Lodge students got to create their own versions of the American flag.

Fannie and I also took the program to
Huntley Project, Grey Cliff, Ryegate, Yellowstone Park, and Billings.
