Do You Believe in Magic?
Part III: You Can Do Magic
In our first
blog on this subject, we reviewed recent history
in which writers and poets spoke of magic from
varied perspectives bringing relatively occult
ideas and worlds to light. Some of them even
learned to radiate magic through their own
minds, eyes, and hands.
Next, we discussed noteworthy individuals who
uncovered some of nature’s magic and then became
intentional about bringing aid to the sick and
injured. From Paracelsus to D.D. Palmer, we saw
how modern healers used magic aka magnetism to
restore health to those in need.
Now in this essay, we endeavor to cover the Big
Picture which includes you and me. We can
recognize that a wonderful part of the story can
move through our very own hands.
Magic and Magnetism have been at work in our
very midst from the beginning. The sacred
scriptures speak of that Magical Creation:
In Hinduism, the Lord Shiva was the source of
the primordial sound that initiated creation.
The goddess Saraswati and the Gandharvas played
key roles in creation myths. Their sounds are
the origin of all vibration and energy which led
to the formation of the cosmos.
“In the beginning was the Word
…”
“All things
were made through the Word.”
“And God said,
‘Let there be Light.’”
The Bible might more accurately have pronounced
that the Creator “began” to say. As it was in
the beginning, so it continues to be eons hence.
But, humans living more and more in artificial
rather than natural environs have lost touch in
many ways. In general, we no longer entertain
conscious awareness and understanding of the
magic which is constantly creating and
re-creating all things.
The human form is being continuously built and
rebuilt until one’s last breath. That is not a
simple process which results mysteriously
through the eating of food. In fact “Man does
not live by bread alone.” And, man really
requires no bread to live “but by every Word
which proceedeth out of the mouth of God.”
Matthew 4:4
This is all magically accomplished as the
ethers, prana, mana are constantly
transformed into visible substance by Mind. The
name of those forces is quite “immaterial.” But,
the fact is – that the visible, tangible,
sensible worlds were and are made from that
which does not appear.
Then, we take another step considering the
simple but mind-boggling truth that “Man was
made in the image and likeness” of the Creator.
As the Creative Forces build and rebuild worlds,
beings, and humans – so too, we can take active
part in that process.
No university degrees are required to help a
neighbor in financial need. Similarly, no
special dispensation is required for one human
being to become an instrument of healing for
another who is sick or lame. The creative and
re-creative, transformative and healing
processes are in constant ready for willing and
caring humans to take part.
We reiterate that all creation, re-creation, and
healing – in the truest sense – are the result
of Magic. That Magic is constant and continuous.
It may have a beginning but has no end – for
there is no end. “World without end.” That fact
may give some comfort to those who fear death.
For there is no death, only change of state.
Then, we repeat after Saint Paul:
“If there is a natural body,
there is also a spiritual body.”
1 Corinthians
15:44
Material, physical forms are sustained by
spiritual bodies – which are really multiple –
being etheric, emotional, mental and causal.
Each night, as at death, we escape our physical
bodies to exist solely in our subtle spirit
bodies. Few of us are capable of bringing back
remembrance of activities during the hours of
physical rest. Sylvan Muldoon, Robert Monroe,
and Oliver Fox among others learned to
consciously part from their bodies at will and
bring back memories on their return.
From a similar perspective, our physical bodies
are undergirded in health and illness by those
spirit bodies and the subtlest of forces. When
all bodies are in harmonious relationship,
health is inevitable and obvious. When
they are out of sync, illness results.
All too often, we humans act unconsciously to
disturb and disrupt the intricate relationships
which maintain us – spiritual, mental, and
emotional beings – in outer forms.
Furthermore, at key points in our lives, we all
experience “dis-eased” conditions which are due
to the expansive, transformative powers of the
Oversoul. At those times, the Higher Self seeks
to mature humans while attracting them closer to
finer levels of Divine Life and Love.
“The visible world is governed
and preserved by the invisible.”
Sebastiani
Wirdig
Spirit and Nature are constantly at work
building, rebuilding and restoring bodily forms.
And they do by far the greatest part of the work
in dealing with any illness or injury. That work
is quite Magical, as subtle forces mysteriously
bring our bodies back into flowing alignment.
That Magic mobilizes the invisible sometimes
dramatically to emulate in real time the
creative functions of the macrocosm and the
microcosm.
The next step is to focus Magic consciously to
aid in restoring harmony and thus health to
those in need. We all are channels of creative
force and can become instruments of subtle
powers to lift and aid, harmonize and heal
others.
Now, we take the opportunity to announce our new
website which has the mission is to lead all
interested readers to become healers and
benefactors in their own families and
communities. We invite you visit https://healingmagick.net.
Peruse and study there as you wish at any time
and in any order. The material presented there
is foundational to a broad understanding of
Healing and Magic, and Healing Magick. In the
near future, we will post a course in Universal
Health and Healing.
All this is available without cost. We invite
questions, comments, suggestions and
corrections. While broad and essential in
nature, this is still a work in progress.
